Nasjonalt fløtingsmuseum og kompetansesenter for våtmark
This is a set of images I produced as part of the team that submitted this proposal for the museum. The project envisions a space where history, culture, and nature seamlessly intertwine, inviting both visitors and the local community to engage with the rich heritage of log driving and the ecological significance of wetlands.

Concept
Designed to extend along the riverbank over two levels, the architecture embraces both water and land, creating a dynamic meeting point between nature and settlement. The structure draws inspiration from traditional wooden architecture while promoting openness and accessibility. A defining feature of the design is the large, undulating wooden roof, paying tribute to the river’s vital role in shaping the region’s history and biodiversity.

Water
Water plays a central role in the project—not only as a life-giving force for diverse ecosystems but also as a key element in the development of timber transportation. By integrating this essential aspect into the design, the center becomes a living monument to the past, present, and future of the landscape it inhabits.
