Large-Scale Solar Farms – Visualizing Renewable Landscapes

This series of visualizations was developed for multiple large-scale solar farm projects across the Nordic region. The focus was to illustrate the integration of photovoltaic installations into diverse landscapes—from dense forests to open agricultural fields. Each image communicates the project's environmental sensitivity and scalability, while maintaining a clean, realistic visual language.

Design & Integration

Working from technical layouts and GIS data, I developed accurate 3D representations of the solar fields, including panel geometry, ground conditions, vegetation, and infrastructure. Natural topography and ecological elements were carefully considered to reflect the minimal footprint and low-impact design intent, essential for permitting and stakeholder presentations.

Visuals & Narrative

The imagery captures the solar farms across different times of day and seasons, highlighting their quiet presence in the landscape. Horses grazing, forest perimeters, and dirt roads contribute to an authentic, human-scaled context. These renders aim not only to inform but also to inspire confidence in solar energy as a harmonious part of future land use.
