Stavanger School: Aerial Vision in Collaboration with Snøhetta
Created for a 2016 design competition in collaboration with Snøhetta, this image represents one of my favorite aerial visualizations. The concept phase began with minimal sketches, allowing space for creative interpretation and contribution to the architectural development. The resulting image highlights how the new school building nestles into the natural terrain of Stavanger’s lush surroundings, creating a fluid connection between forest, sport, and learning environments. The soft curvature of the architecture and its wooden fins mirror the topography and forest textures, while the warm light and layered depth emphasize the project’s peaceful integration into its broader landscape context. A rare and rewarding mix of freedom and collaboration.
