Toronto Civic Centre – A Balanced Presence
This image was part of a project for a prominent civic building in Toronto, designed by B+H Architects. The goal was to ensure the architecture felt rooted in place rather than appearing as a generic, monumental object. To achieve this, I composed the image in horizontal layers: the base, featuring warm cladding and an open, welcoming ground floor, is harmonised with the surrounding vegetation and public realm. Meanwhile, the upper glass volume reflects the sky, softening its visual weight and enhancing its dialogue with the environment. A technically and conceptually challenging piece—ultimately, one of my personal favourites.
